BOWEN TECHNIQUE

The Bowen Technique is a hands-on gentle therapy that is applied to areas of the body, using thumbs and fingers in a specific sequence. The move is a rolling-type of the thumbs and fingers and is designed to stimulate nerve pathways which allow a ‘conversation’ to take place between different nervous systems of the body.

Bowen is very gentle and suitable for all ages. There is no massage or manipulation and is done through clothing.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

Indian head massage, or more commonly known as Champi in Hindi, involves massaging the head, neck, and face.

The head massage begins on the back and neck, working on all the muscles and pressure points, giving you quick relief from tension and stress. The same technique is then applied to the scalp. This further relaxes and stimulates your body. The massage ends up at the face, massaging all the right pressure points to help reduce headaches and sinusitis issues.

Indian head massage should be avoided if you have gone through a recent head, neck, or back surgery.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement available to each and every one of us. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. It also works in conjunction with all other therapeutic techniques.

The Five Principles of Reiki are:

  • Just for today, be filled with gratitude
  • Just for today, devote yourself to your work.
  • Just for today, be kind to others.
